G Gallery is pleased to present two new animated videos by Allison
Hrabluik. The videos feature a series of black and white abstract
shapes that respond seductively to sounds composed for the artist
by electro-acoustic composer Andrea Young. Through the careful
manipulation of photographic images, Hrabluik coaxes subtle
characters out of abstract forms. In Abut and Abet we see these
forms come to life, defining themselves through an awkward dance.
Allison Hrabluik lives and works in Vancouver, BC. Her animated
videos, drawings and sculptures have been shown in exhibitions
and film festivals internationally. Solo exhibitions include Tatjana
Pieters Gallery, Gent, Belgium; Western Bridge, Seattle, WA;
