Even If You Escape The Stone You Still Must Escape The Eye
Ella Dawn McGeough
MFA thesis exhibition
August 20 - 24, 2013
This exhibition asks three questions: (1) what are the effects of daring to look Medusa in the eye?; (2) who will you see?; and (3) could she be holding a mirror up to our own time, which we are repeatedly told is narcissistic? This project does not attempt to represent reality but rather possibility: a possible portrait of Medusa.
